What is the water pressure in your home? Don’t feel bad if you don’t know the answer to that question, because most people would be unable to tell you. It is however very important that your pressure is around 50 pounds per square inch, because if it is a lot higher than that, your pipes and appliances could take some serious damage, even leading to serious water leaks. If it is lower, it is not as critical, but you will probably be annoyed with the long time it takes to fill a glass or the lack of pressure in your shower.
What can you do about issues with your water pressure?
Many homes have a pressure regulator installed that is meant to keep the water pressure at the correct level. This can be adjusted to fit your needs, either increasing or lowering the pressure in your water lines. If you don’t have a pressure regulator, you might need to install one to fix your problems.
